History of the Iconic Hard Rock Cafe T-Shirt Logo 

The first cafe opened at Old Park Lane, Mayfair, London, founded by two Americans Isaac Tigrett and Peter Morton in 1971.

The logo was created in 1974 by British artist Alan Aldridge.

That same year, a local soccer team was looking for sponsorship for their team t-shirts.

Because the Hard Rock Cafe was new, the owners were happy to collaborate. They helped the team out by getting t-shirts made with the Hard Rock Cafe logo.

The t-shirts for the the team were simple but eye-catching and immediately sparked the attention of the locals. They rapidly grew in popularity and Hard Rock Cafe ran with it. They soon became just as popular for their memorabilia as they were for their cafes.

Around 25 years later, with stores opened in over 75 countries, this t-shirt was made in Thailand for the Hard Rock Cafe Bangkok location.
